Mum passed away suddenly but she had arranged her funeral beforehand with Exit so I contacted them on the day of her passing. Tearful and in shock, I was late for my appointment with Gary and got lost as I was walking in the wrong direction. Gary picked me up in the company car and took me back to the office, where we made the initial arrangements. My brother was flying over from Bali so everything had to kick into gear quickly for the funeral the following week. Julia was our contact for the rest of the arrangements, of which there were many, and was just remarkable. I thought I was organised but I fell apart with the overwhelming emotion, and she was there to take care of the many details. The service was beautiful, just what Mum wanted. There were so many special touches, from the teddy bears bedecking the funeral notice, to the beautiful and reverent way Mum was dressed, and all the aftercare following her cremation. I particularly appreciated the little bag with her necklace, bracelet and ring, all special things that friends had given her, and something to treasure. Thank you Exit for making this sad occasion so special and meaningful. Sally Marks
